Dirty Quilter Crew — We’re Showing Up!

BAG -MAKING DRIVE

TO SUPPORT
FLOW FORWARD NJ

This isn’t just a feel good project, it’s a wake up call.

Not everyone has the basic ability to manage their period with dignity. Not everyone has what they need. And somehow we’re still acting like periods are something to hide, something shameful, something we don’t talk about out loud.

The truth is, silence makes it worse.

Period poverty is real. It means people are choosing between essentials. It means showing up to school or work stressed, uncomfortable, and unsupported. It means learning about your own body in the dark because no one made space for the conversation.

We don’t do that here.

We talk about it. We sew for it. We show up a little messy, a little loud, and we make things that matter.

Because this shouldn’t be complicated. It should just be taken care of.

What to make:
• Around 6” x 9”
• Any fabric (yes, scraps — we mean it)
• Must have a closure (zipper, snap, button, or velcro)
That’s it.
Make one. Make a stack. Make it weird. Make it useful.
